When does the race take place?<\/h5>

The SNF Nostos Run 2026 will take place as part of SNF Nostos in June 2026 in Athens, offering a unique nighttime running experience in the city.<\/p>

What are the race distances?<\/strong><\/h5>

The races that will take place are:
\u2022 6 km road race
\u2022 10 km road race
\u2022 1 km Special Olympics race<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Where are the start and finish points?<\/h5>

The start of the 6 km and 10 km races is located in the square in front of the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro). The finish line for all races is at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC).<\/p>

What are the age limits for participation?<\/h5>

Athletes aged 12 and above can participate in the 6 km race.
Athletes aged 15 and above can participate in the 10 km race.<\/p>

Do I need a medical certificate to participate?<\/h5>

No medical certificate is required, and participants run at their own risk. However, it is recommended that all participants undergo a recent medical check-up before participating.<\/p><\/div>

Is the race competitive?<\/h5>

How can I register for the race?<\/h5>

Registrations are completed through the official event website.<\/p>

Until when can I register?<\/h5>

Registrations will remain open until June 4 or until the maximum number of participants is reached.<\/p>

Can I transfer my registration to another runner?<\/h5>

No. For safety and identification reasons, transferring race entries is not allowed.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Where can I pick up my race bib?<\/h5>

The race kit can be collected from the event\u2019s secretariat at the square of the Panathenaic Stadium, near the start area.<\/p>

What are the secretariat\u2019s operating hours?<\/h5>

The secretariat will operate on the following dates and times:

Can someone else pick up my race kit?<\/h5>

What time should I be at the start area?<\/h5>

Runners are advised to be at the start area at least 50 minutes before their race begins.<\/p>

How can I get to the Panathenaic Stadium?<\/h5>

Access is possible via public transportation (Syntagma or Evangelismos Metro stations), buses, or taxi.<\/p>

Can I leave my bag with personal belongings and collect it at the finish?<\/h5>

You may leave personal belongings by placing them in the bag you received with your race kit. The race number must be clearly visible on the bag using the sticker provided.<\/p>

Until what time can I drop off my bag?<\/h5>

The designated vehicles that will transport participants\u2019 personal belongings from the start to SNFCC will depart at 20:20 for both races (6 km & 10 km). Please make sure to hand in your belongings on time.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Is the route closed to traffic?<\/h5>

Yes. The roads along the route will be fully closed to vehicle traffic for the safety of participants.<\/p>

Will there be hydration stations?<\/h5>

Hydration stations are listed in the official Athlete\u2019s Guide of the event.<\/p>

Is the route well lit?<\/h5>

What should I eat before the race?<\/h5>

A light meal 2\u20133 hours before the start is recommended, rich in carbohydrates and low in fat.<\/p>

Should I drink water before the race?<\/h5>

Yes. Proper hydration before the start is important. It is recommended to drink water gradually throughout the day.<\/p>

Should I warm up before the race?<\/h5>

Yes. A light 10\u201315 minute warm-up helps the body adjust to the intensity of the race.<\/p>

Will there be volunteers along the route?<\/h5>

Yes. Volunteers will be present at key points to support runners and ensure the safety of the event.<\/p>

Where can spectators watch the race?<\/h5>

Spectators can watch the start at the Panathenaic Stadium, at any point along the route, and of course at the finish line at SNFCC.<\/p>

Can spectators enter the race route?<\/h5>

No. For safety and fair play reasons, spectators are not allowed on the race route.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
