SNF FIRST RUN 2026

Until what time can I enter the starting blocks?

Access to the blocks closes strictly at 23:45, for safety and organisational reasons.
If you arrive after that time, unfortunately you will not be able to participate.

Can I change the shirt size I selected?

Sizes are confirmed during pick-up.
If another size is available, we’ll be happy to give it to you, but availability is not guaranteed.

What happens if I lose my bib?

If you lose your bib after collecting it, a replacement cannot be issued.

What if I don’t have the email with my bib number?

You can be assisted by our registration desk at the SNFCC between December 28–30 from 15:00 to 21:00.

When do registrations close?

Registrations will open from [DATE] and close on [DATE] or if the maximum number of participants is reached. If the registration link shows “Registrations Closed,” it means we are no longer able to accept additional participants.

How much is the participation fee and where does it go?

The participation fee is €5. The entire amount — without any deductions — is donated to the nonprofit organisation “Spitiko tis Agapis”. If you wish, you may contribute a larger donation during registration.

Who can participate in the race?

Participation is open to individuals 10 years old and above.
For minors, parental/guardian consent is required, which will take place during the bib pick-up process.

The race is inclusive and accessible to people with disabilities. Their placement in the starting area will be supported by our event staff.

Will I receive an official finish time even though the race is not competitive?

Yes! Although the event is symbolic and not competitive in nature, all participants will receive electronic timing.

When and where do I pick up my race package?

Race pack collection takes place in person only at the Event Pavilion on the SNFCC Esplanade:

  • Saturday 28/12 — 15:00–21:00
  • Sunday 29/12 — 15:00–21:00
  • Monday 30/12 — 15:00–21:00

If you do not collect your race package during these dates, unfortunately you will not be able to participate, as there is no race-day pick-up.

What do I need to bring for the pick-up?

The essential item you need is the email containing your bib number (printed or digital).
If you have registered your minor child (allowed only for children aged 10+), you will also need to bring the required parental/guardian consent form.

What time should I arrive at the starting area?

It is recommended to arrive at the SNFCC at least 45 minutes before the start. Access to the blocks opens at 23:00 and closes at 23:45.

Can I enter a different block than the one printed on my bib?

No. For safety and proper runner distribution, you must enter the block assigned to you.

Is transportation provided to the race?

No, the event does not provide transportation. You will need to arrange your own way to the SNFCC (car, taxi, walking, or public transport).

Where can I leave my personal items?

At the designated Bag Drop station located on the Esplanade.

You must use only the official clear SNF Run bag provided in your race pack.

Other bags or backpacks will not be accepted.
Bag drop-off must be completed by 23:40.
You can collect your bag after finishing the race by showing your bib.

Until what time can I complete the race?

The race officially ends at 00:40.
After that time, there is no official support or timing, and runners continue at their own responsibility.

Are headphones allowed?

No. This is for safety reasons — we want you to be able to hear instructions from organisers and medical staff if needed.

Can I run with my pet?

Unfortunately not, for safety and crowd-flow reasons.

Can I run with a stroller?

Yes, strollers are allowed. It’s a lovely way for your child to experience the first moment of the new year.

Can friends or family join me on the course?

No. For safety reasons, only registered runners wearing a bib may enter the course.
Friends and family may wait at the finish line to cheer you on!

Will there be medical support?

Yes, medical staff from the 1st Orthopaedic Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens will be present throughout the event.

Do I need a medical certificate?

A certificate is not required, but we recommend having a recent health check, especially if you have a medical history or do not exercise regularly.

What items are not allowed?

For everyone’s safety, the following are not permitted:

  • sharp objects, weapons, or illegal substances
  • fireworks,
  • glass bottles,
  • masks or costumes covering the face, or oversized costumes,
  • any bags other than the official SNF Run clear bag
I didn’t receive the confirmation email. What should I do?

First check your spam/junk and promotions folders.
Search for “SNF First Run”.
If you still can’t find it, try registering again and ensure your email address is correct.

My payment didn’t go through. Am I registered?

If the payment did not go through, your registration is not complete.
Try again and double-check your card details.
If you’re unsure:

  • check your banking app
  • if no charge appears, there is no registration
  • if you see a charge but received no confirmation email, please contact us at: [ADD EMAIL]
I accidentally registered twice. What happens now?

Don’t worry — it happens.

  • Only one bib will be issued for you
  • Any extra donation is simply added to the total charity amount

If needed, we can merge duplicate entries after the event.

I made a mistake in my details (name, phone, size). Can I fix it?

Small mistakes do not affect your participation.
Shirt size can be adjusted during pick-up (subject to availability).
Any major corrections (e.g., age) can also be fixed during pick-up.

Can someone else pick up my race package?

Yes, but only if they show the confirmation email and the ID (photo or digital copy is sufficient)

I cannot attend the pick-up days. What can I do?

Unfortunately, there is no bib pick-up on race day.
If you cannot attend on December 28–30, you will not be able to enter the starting block.

Can I cancel my registration or get a refund?

Registrations are non-refundable, as participation is linked to a charitable donation.

Can I transfer my bib to someone else?

No, bib transfers are not allowed for safety and identification reasons.

I haven’t received my bib email yet. Is something wrong?

No — this is completely normal.
Bib emails are sent a few days before the race, after registrations close.

I paid but something doesn’t look right. What do I do?

Payment issues usually resolve within a few minutes.
If after an hour you still have concerns, please use the contact form and include the email you used for registration so we can locate your file quickly.

I clicked the registration link and it says “Registrations Closed”. Why?

This means:

  • either the maximum capacity has been reached, or
  • the registration deadline has passed.

In this case, late registrations are not possible.

Is the race suitable for wheelchair users?

Yes, the route is flat and fully accessible, though some areas may be crowded.
If you need additional support or guidance, you can let us know in advance.

I am a person with a disability and need my companion to enter with me. Is that allowed?

Yes — companions may enter the same block without any issue.
If you wish, we can place you in the first block for easier access.

What facilities are provided for people with disabilities who want to take part?

[PRODUCE ANSWER IF ANY]

Will parking be available at the SNFCC?

Parking is limited and may fill up quickly.
We recommend planning your trip carefully or using public transport, taxis, or ride-sharing services.

Do public transport routes operate at that time?

Some lines may run on a special New Year’s schedule.
Please check official public transport websites before race day.

Where can friends and family wait?

Spectators can wait at the Esplanade, near the Finish Line, where there is plenty of space to cheer runners.

Are there toilets near the start?

Yes — toilets are available at the Esplanade both before and after the race.

Will there be water stations?

Water is provided at the Finish Line.
Due to the short distance (3 km), there is no mid-course water station.

Is the entire route illuminated?

Yes — the route is fully lit, with additional staff placed along the course for safety.

What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?

The race takes place even in rain. However, in cases of severe weather (heavy storms or lightning), the event may be cancelled for safety reasons, in consultation with authorities.

Can the start time change?

The start time cannot be changed.

Where can I find last-minute updates?

If any change occurs, you will receive an email.
We also recommend checking the official website and social media channels before leaving for the event.
