Happy New Year in athletic gear!
On Thursday, January 1st 2026, a few minutes after the turn of the year, the first race of the year takes place — a charity run.
It is a unique experience that combines the energy of New Year’s with the joy of giving, as participation supports the work of the nonprofit organisation “Spitiko tis Agapis“.
SNF RUN: 2026 FIRST RUN will start a few minutes after the turn of the year, immediately after the fireworks show.
- Start at 00:04 on the SNFCC Esplanade, opposite the Agora.
- We run or walk a 3 km route.
- Finish at the same point as the start.
- After the race, a spectacular party with DJ sets will follow.

"SPITIKO TIS AGAPIS"
“Spitiko tis Agapis” of KMM has been operating since 1962 and is perhaps the only place in Greece that completely houses and cares for destitute grandmothers and grandfathers without requiring any contribution from them.
It houses people who, in the most vulnerable period of their lives – in old age – found themselves without money and without anyone around them.
How it operates
It does not operate with state funds and it is not a private for-profit enterprise. Its donors are people with empathy, who feel the pain of their fellow human beings, often giving even from their own limited means.
With this generosity, from 1962 until today, more than 540 elderly people in need, most of them completely destitute, have lived the last years of their lives in a warm home and in family-like conditions.
